Saltwater Pony Tours

Saltwater Pony Tours offers a scenic cruise through the beautiful back bays surrounding Chincoteague and Assateague Island, where guests can experience the wild Chincoteague ponies in their natural habitat. Along the way it’s common to see incredible wildlife such as Bald Eagles, Osprey, dolphins, and other coastal birds, making every tour a memorable adventure.

We offer two tour options for our guests.

Private Tours

Our private tours accommodate up to six passengers, giving your group the entire boat to yourselves. Guests ride aboard a 24-foot tritoon boat with a private captain, providing a comfortable and relaxed way to explore the back bays and hear the history of the islands.

Private tours are ideal for families, small groups, and special moments you want to share with your loved ones.

Price: $340 per tour (up to 6 passengers)

By-the-Seat Tours

Our By-the-Seat tours visit the same beautiful locations as our private tours, including the areas where the wild ponies roam. These tours are perfect for guests who want to join others for a fun and social experience.

An additional crew member is on board to share stories, history, and fun facts about the famous Chincoteague ponies and the surrounding islands, making the tour both relaxing and informative.
